Adriano is a true organizer at heart. He successfully helped organized over 35,000 home-based daycare providers so they would have access to healthcare and better wages. Adriano also led the effort to create a livery driver's worker's compensation fund, protecting over 40,000 livery drivers across the five boroughs, Westchester and Nassau counties. Adriano is also the author of the New York Farm Workers Fair Labor Practices Act, which would give basic rights to 100,000 farmworkers, who currently are subject to unsafe and unsanitary conditions. In congress, Adriano will continue to stand-up for working New Yorkers.
