Congresswoman Chellie Pingree issued the following statement on the shooting early today in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

"Once again we are faced with the heartbreaking news of innocent Americans falling victim to hatred and gun violence. As we mourn the deaths of three brave police officers today, and grieve for their families, we must find a way to bring an end to this cycle of violence. And we can only do that through peaceful dialog and justice for all members of our communities."
