Issue Position

Kevin believes in lessening regulation to spur growth, development and jobs creation. He will propose legislation and support policies that foster growth in small business activity and hiring. When small businesses thrive, local communities thrive.

Kevin believes government works best when we have lean budgets and responsible fiscal policies. We cannot "tax and spend our way out' of a stagnant economy. And taxes and tolls are not going to help our job market. A fiscal house that is in order and small business-friendly government policies are the keys to our economic success. Unfortunately, we have not fared well economically…

Delaware currently ranks 47th in Per Capita Income Growth and is only one of only 4 states where per capita income has decreased over the past 10 years (US Chamber of Commerce).
Jobs have only grown at a rate of .2% since 2010, ranking Delaware 45th in short term job growth (US Chamber of Commerce).
Delaware's unemployment rate is still nearly double the historical average of 3.5%.
State spending has doubled in the past 10 years.
Delaware ranks 4th highest in state in spending per capita. Delaware spends $9,368 per person, more than 45 other states.
