Congressman Don Beyer (D-VA) released the following statement on today's Supreme Court ruling in United States v. Texas:
"Today's Supreme Court decision halting President Obama's immigration directives is wrong-headed and short-sighted. I have every confidence that this is a temporary obstacle for these families, but it is nonetheless a heartbreaking one. President Obama's Deferred Action for Parents of Americans and Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals programs gave hope to peaceful, law-abiding immigrants, many of whom made deep sacrifices to come to the United States to make a better life for their families."
