Citizens United Endorses Assemblywoman Claudia Tenney For Congress

Press Release

Date: Dec. 16, 2015
Location: New Hartford, NY

Today, Citizens United Political Victory Fund (CUPVF), the affiliated PAC of Citizens United, endorsed Assemblywoman Claudia Tenney (R,C--New Hartford) for Congress in New York's 22nd District.

"Upstate New Yorkers deserve a representative in Congress who has the courage and tenacity to stand up to Barack Obama's job-killing agenda. Assemblywoman Tenney has a proven record of boldly standing against corruption, cronyism and failed big government policies. Richard Hanna has proven time and time again that he will not fight the failed status quo in Washington that is crippling our economic growth," said David N. Bossie, President of Citizens United.

Tenney is running for the Republican nomination in New York's 22nd Congressional District. Citizens United also endorsed Tenney in 2014 when she ran in the Republican primary against incumbent Richard Hanna. Tenney lost by 2,000 votes despite being outspent nearly 10 to 1.

"I am pleased to accept the endorsement of Citizens United," said Tenney. "Citizens United is a leader in advocating common sense conservative solutions to the issues plaguing our government and economy. I look forward to working alongside Citizens United to advance the principles of strong national security, limited and accountable government, the free market and traditional American values."
