Gianforte Lanches Petition Calling On Bullock To Say To Syrian Refugees

Bozeman businessman and tech entrepreneur Greg Gianforte reiterated his opposition to resettling unvetted Syrian refugees in Montana and announced a petition calling on Governor Steve Bullock to say no to Syrian refugee resettlement until they can be properly vetted.

GIANFORTE: From day 1, I called for a full halt to President Obama's Syrian refugee resettlement program. The Governor's job is to first and foremost ensure the security of the state. That's why I'm calling on Governor Bullock to stand against the resettlement of unvetted Syrian refugees in Montana.

Despite the fact that FBI Director James Comey admitted last year that we do not have the ability to vet all Syrian refugees, and despite a warning from Director of National Intelligence James Clapper that ISIS fighters could infiltrate refugee groups, Governor Bullock has indicated he will not block refugee resettlement in Montana. Just yesterday, CIA Director John Brennan admitted his concern that ISIS could use refugee flows to get ISIS fighters into the country. Currently, the governors of 31 states have stated that their states will not accept unvetted Syrian refugees.

Gianforte is the founder of RightNow Technologies. He started the company out of his house in Bozeman, and created over 500 jobs in Montana. The average Montana salary at RightNow was nearly $90,000 a year. Oracle purchased RightNow in 2012, and continues to expand the company's footprint in Montana.
