Gianforte Tours Stillwater Mine, Touts Importance Of Natural Resource Jobs

Highlighting the importance of mining and natural resource jobs, Bozeman businessman and tech entrepreneur Greg Gianforte toured the Stillwater Mine near Nye yesterday. Stillwater Mining Company is the only U.S. producer of mined platinum and palladium.

Gianforte is a Republican candidate for governor and has been a strong advocate for Montana's natural resource industries.

GIANFORTE: "I thank Stillwater Mining Company for the tour yesterday. Mining is a vitally important industry to Montana that pays good wages. These are uncertain times for Montana mines of all types, with layoffs and permitting delays. As governor, I'll fight to ensure that mining remains a vital part of Montana's economy. "
