Congressman Aderholt Statement on Supreme Court Nominee

WASHINGTON, DC, July 20, 2005 -- Congressman Robert Aderholt (R-Haleyville) this morning made the following statement on President Bush's Supreme Court Nominee, U.S. Circuit Judge John G. Roberts:

"President Bush, after unprecedented consultation with the Senate, appears to have made a fine choice in nominating Judge Roberts. Judge Roberts has the experience and credibility to serve us well on the Supreme Court. He is a conservative who will represent the values of America.

"The President has done his job in choosing such a well qualified nominee. I trust that the Senate will now do what is in the best interest of our country and approve Judge Roberts in a timely manner and without distracting partisan politics."
