Congressman Marc Veasey, TX-33, released the following statement after the Supreme Court upheld the constitutionality of affirmative action in Fisher v. University of Texas at Austin:

"Today's Supreme Court ruling ensures that all Americans, regardless of race or economic background, have the right to access quality education. I firmly believe that our college campuses must reflect our nation's diversity, and today's ruling ensures that by removing any barriers of opportunity for our children, we ensure the prosperity of our nation."
