Governor Maggie Hassan issued the following statement after the Executive Council's bipartisan vote to approve a contract with the Mental Health Center of Greater Manchester to provide mobile crisis services and supports:
"Over the last several years, we have worked together across party lines to strengthen community-based mental health, including funding in our bipartisan budget to continue implementing our landmark mental health settlement. People who experience mental illness are our friends, our family members, and our neighbors, and mobile crisis supports and services are critical to ensuring that we are providing appropriate care at the right place and time with the same level of compassion and treatment that we would expect for any other health care need. I thank the Executive Council for its strong bipartisan vote today on this important measure, which will help us continue implementing the mental health settlement in a way that allows patients to be fully included in our communities and economy."
