Governor Hassan, State Emergency Management Officials Working to Ensure Preparedness in Light of Orlando Terrorist Attack

Following yesterday's terrorist attack in Orlando, Governor Maggie Hassan, the Department of Safety and New Hampshire Homeland Security and Emergency Management are working to maintain public safety and ensure emergency preparedness at events across the state.

"While there is no known or immediate threat to the people of New Hampshire, the Department of Safety and New Hampshire Homeland Security and Emergency Management are working with federal and local public safety officials to exercise extra vigilance across the state," Governor Hassan said. "I have been in close contact with state public safety officials, and the State will work with local authorities as needed to provide additional presence and resources, particularly including at Laconia Motorcycle Week and at destinations like Hampton Beach. We continue to mourn the victims of this horrific act of terror and hate, and we will continue to work with public safety officials and local communities to monitor the situation closely and protect Granite Staters and visitors alike."
