U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders issued the following statement on Thursday after the Supreme Court provided a victory for affirmative action by rejecting a challenge to the University of Texas admissions program:
"Diversity on college campuses benefits all students. The Supreme Court decision reaffirms that our students are better prepared and our nation is stronger when we create a more diverse and inclusive environment in higher education."
