Ayotte Named 'Hero of Main Street' for 3rd Year in a Row by NH Retailers

Today, U.S. Senator Kelly Ayotte was presented with a Hero of Main Street award by New Hampshire representatives from the National Retail Federation (NRF). Senator Ayotte received this award for the third year in a row in recognition of her efforts to preserve and protect New Hampshire's small and medium-sized businesses by supporting common sense and pro-growth policies.

"I always appreciate meeting with New Hampshire members of the National Retail Federation and I'm honored to receive this award," said Senator Ayotte. "New Hampshire's small businesses are the backbone of our state's economy and we need to support their efforts to create good jobs. That means cutting red tape and bringing an end to one-size-fits-all regulations - and I'll fight to do just that so retailers and small businesses in our state can continue to grow and thrive."

NRF represents retail businesses in more than 45 countries, including the U.S., as the world's largest retail trade association. Retail is the nation's largest private sector employer, supplying jobs for 42 million Americans. The association advocates for retailers by highlighting their important role in communities around the world. According to NRF, there are 18,467 retail establishments in New Hampshire, which directly support 159,845 jobs.
