Surface water supplies farms, the Rio Grande ecosystem, and our shared aquifer. Farms start the supply chain for supermarkets, and market New Mexico around the world. Surrounding mountains are watershed headwaters, places for wildlife and recreation, and important to urban and rural economies alike. We must natural resources wisely, and conserving them where appropriate.
