Don Bacon: America's Security Requires Decisive Leadership, Not Waffling

Yesterday, retired Brigadier General Don Bacon called on Ashford to make up his mind on the Iran Deal. Today, Brad Ashford continued to vacillate on his position on the agreement. In the Omaha-World Herald, Ashford claimed the Iran Deal is "not good enough now" but it was reported that he "stopped short of saying he will absolutely vote against the agreement when Congress returns from recess next month."

"I've reviewed the Iran Deal, and as a former Brigadier General and 29 year veteran of the Air Force who has a detailed understanding of the Iran, Israel, and Mideast, I can unequivocally say that I would vote against the Iran deal and urge the Obama Administration to go back to the drawing board because no deal is better than this deal", said Bacon.

"I've been listening to Nebraskans across all parts of the district and I'm hearing clear feedback that most oppose this agreement. But, what I'm hearing more is that our citizens want someone who speaks forthrightly and will not "waffle' on all the key issues. They're tired of the career politicians trying to have it both ways."
