Associated Builders and Contractors Endorse Don Bacon

Statement

Date: Oct. 6, 2015

Don Bacon, candidate for the United States Congress, announced today that he has received the endorsement of the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) in his bid to represent Nebraska in the Second District. ABC Cornhusker President Anne Klute released the following statement to the press on Monday:

"Nebraska's building community and families don't need another career politician representing them in Congress, they need a principled and proven leader like Don Bacon. Don's leadership and dedication to serving his country through his nearly 30 career in the U.S. Air Force and his common-sense approach to governing will be invaluable assets to Nebraskans and we are proud to support him," said ABC Cornhusker President Anne Klute.

"Contractors are being smothered by far too many policies flooding out of Washington, from an outdated and convoluted tax code to an overreaching regulatory system," said Klute. "Local job creators are being held back by Washington's failed policies. Don's commitment to free enterprise and to creating a level playing field where businesses can compete and create jobs will unencumber Nebraskan job creators and help foster needed economic growth."

"I thank ABC Cornhusker President Anne Klute, past Chairman of the Board Jeff Taake, and the Associated Builders and Contractors for their endorsement," said Bacon. "Organizations like ABC play a critical part in promoting both free enterprise and open competition for the betterment of our communities."
