This evening, retired Air Force Brigadier General and Republican congressional candidate Don Bacon made the following statement about President Obama's State of the Union address.
"Tonight, President Obama bragged on the state of the union, but his view doesn't reflect the reality that most Americans see. He talked about the improvement in unemployment, but ignored that the number not employed or not seeking employment are at near all-time highs, that welfare has vastly increased, that more small businesses are closing their doors than are opening, that real wages have decreased for most Americans, and that health care rates and deductibles are becoming unaffordable. Furthermore, our foreign policy of leading from behind in the Middle East and Russia has been a total failure and has put our nation and allies at increased risk."
The Obama/Pelosi agenda is failing the 2nd District of Nebraska. A vote for Brad Ashford is a vote to continue these failed policies that are undermining our national and economic security.
We are in a critical time and we need leaders with backbone, not career politicians who pander and play to all sides. When I am elected, I will work to reduce our $19 Trillion Debt, eliminate cumbersome regulations on our small businesses, simplify and flatten our complicated tax code, repeal and replace Obamacare and fight and win the war on ISIS."
