Confused Congressman Zinke Brags About Importance Of Bill Vote He Skipped To Join Presidential Campaign Trail

Congressman Ryan Zinke chose not to do his job this week and instead jumped on the presidential campaign trail. Now, he's bragging about a piece of the bill on which he didn't actually vote.

Zinke told ABC FOX Montana he opposes the energy and water bill which would have funded millions of dollars of critical water projects here in Montana.

"A very important Montana provision was defunding waters of the U.S. which was in the bill," Zinke told the TV station.

So, why would he oppose a bill that contained an "important provision?"

Congressman Zinke has had quite a week. First, he suggested he'd make a great vice president under Donald Trump. Then he left Montanans up a creek by skipping water votes. Now, he's bragging about the importance of the very bill he didn't actually vote on.

"If Congressman Zinke actually did the job Montanans elected him to do, perhaps he wouldn't be so confused," Campaign Manager Lauren Caldwell said. "Congressman Zinke continues to prove he doesn't put Montanans first. Superintendent of Public Instruction Denise Juneau has spent seven years getting results for Montanans, that's who we need in the U.S. House."
