Catherine Cortez Masto: SCOTUS Decision a Reminder That Donald Trump & Congressman Heck Would "Punish" Women Who Have Abortions

Former Nevada Attorney General and candidate for U.S. Senate Catherine Cortez Masto released the following statement on the Supreme Court striking down the anti-choice Texas abortion law:

"This is a victory for women's health as the Supreme Court's ruling will help ensure women continue to have access to often life-saving healthcare. Decisions about reproductive healthcare should be made by a woman and her doctor, not politicians. Unfortunately, while today's victory is encouraging, women's healthcare is still under attack by politicians like Donald Trump and my opponent, Congressman Heck. Donald Trump has said he wants to "punish' women who have abortions. Congressman Heck opposes a woman's right to choose and voted time and again to defund Planned Parenthood. Unlike Donald Trump and Congressman Heck, as Nevada's next Senator I will focus on solving problems, not punishing women over their healthcare decisions."
