Over the past decade, the world has become increasingly dangerous for America and our allies. These dangerous times call for leadership that leads to a safer and more secure America. In the upcoming U.S. Senate primary, the only candidate with the leadership to advocate for that safety and security is Todd Young.

As veterans who've been deployed in the post-9/11 years, we know these threats are real and know they aren't going away on their own. Threats from terrorist groups and rogue nations, such as Iran, need to be countered with strong American leadership. Young's experience at the Naval Academy and in the Marine Corps gives him the skills to understand and counter these threats.

We also both have the privilege of serving our communities in hopes of making them a better place. We know how important issues like economic opportunity, health care and reducing poverty are to Hoosiers. And Young is someone who's led the fight in Washington in areas like that. He's also leading the charge fighting for welfare reform using innovative, conservative ideas.

Casting a vote for Young is casting a vote for a better and safer state and country. He's certainly got our vote.
