Former Nevada Attorney General and candidate for U.S. Senate Catherine Cortez Masto released the following statement on comments made by Veterans Affairs Secretary Bob McDonald comparing wait times at VA facilities to lines at Disneyland:
"Even for Washington, the tone deafness of these comments is stunning. The VA needs to address the wait times at its facilities so our veterans get the care they need in a timely manner, not offer up false analogies and excuses. It's long past time for the VA to get its act together. As Nevada's next Senator, I will work with both parties to hold the VA accountable so the men and women who risk their lives for our country receive the health care they've earned when they need it, not months later."
