Catherine Cortez Masto and Northern Nevada Community Leaders Launch "Women for Cortez Masto"

Statement

Today, former Nevada Attorney General and candidate for United States Senate Catherine Cortez Masto joined Northern Nevada women and community leaders in Reno to launch her campaign's new grassroots coalition "Women for Cortez Masto." The coalition includes 75 prominent Nevada women as Founding Members and will highlight that Catherine Cortez Masto is the only candidate Nevada women can trust to solve problems and stand up for them in the Senate.

"For too long, Washington has been failing the American people, refusing to take up the challenges they face," said Catherine Cortez Masto. "Politicians in Washington seem more concerned with partisan bickering and attacking women's health than solving problems. While my opponent, Congressman Heck, has voted time and again to defund Planned Parenthood, voted three times against ensuring women receive equal pay for equal work, and opposes a woman's right to choose, I'm running for Senate to solve problems for Nevada's women and address the issues that matter most to them. That's why we're launching Women for Cortez Masto here today. With the support of Nevada women from across the state we are going to win this election and get to work solving problems in the Senate."
