This evening, former Nevada Attorney General and Democratic candidate for United States Senate Catherine Cortez Masto campaigned in Minden at the "First in the West Rural Blue Dinner." In her remarks, Cortez Masto highlighted the clear choice in the race for U.S. Senate. While her opponent, Congressman Heck, votes with his Party 90% of the time, Catherine Cortez Masto is a problem solver who works with both Parties to get things done and help Nevadans.

"Whether it was the sex traffickers or the big banks, I made it my business as Attorney General to see that people who violated our trust paid the price," said Cortez Masto. "I'm running for Senate to continue my record of working with both Parties to solve problems and help Nevadans. In contrast, my opponent, Congressman Heck, is part of the problem in Washington. From wanting to abolish the Department of Education, to opposing Governor Sandoval's bipartisan increase in education funding, to his opposition to raising the minimum wage, Congressman Heck's narrow conservative agenda is out of touch with Nevada families."
