Catherine Cortez Masto Statement on Supreme Court Taking Up Immigration Executive Actions

Former Nevada Attorney General and candidate for United States Senate Catherine Cortez Masto released the following statement on news the U.S. Supreme Court would review President Obama's immigration executive actions to keep families together:

"Thousands of families are stuck in limbo and at risk of being torn apart following the ruling by the Fifth Circuit Court blocking the implementation of the President's executive actions. These actions were perfectly legal, but wouldn't be necessary if Congress had done its job and passed comprehensive immigration reform. While my opponent, Congressman Heck, opposed these executive actions to keep families together and opposed the bipartisan immigration reform compromise passed by the Senate over two years ago, I will work with both parties to solve problems and pass a bipartisan comprehensive immigration reform bill that secures our borders, keeps families together, and allows millions of undocumented immigrants to come out of the shadows and earn a pathway to citizenship."
