Former Nevada Attorney General Catherine Cortez Masto released the following statement after the United States Senate passed a bipartisan bill to combat sex trafficking:

"As Nevada's Attorney General, protecting Nevada families was my first priority. That's why I focused on combating sex traffickers who prey on countless Nevada women and children. Helping victims of sex trafficking should not be a partisan issue, nor should it be held hostage to a divisive social agenda that restricts access to preventative health care. I'm pleased the United States Senate today passed a bipartisan compromise that will help victims of sex trafficking. If elected to the Senate, I will continue to make protecting Nevada families from predators my first priority."
