Zinke Announces $1.3 Million Grant for Missoula Airport

Today Montana Congressman Ryan Zinke announced a $1,333,645 grant for Missoula Airport through the Department of Transportation's Federal Aviation Administration.

"Missoula's airport is absolutely vital for the community. It supports not only residents, but also tourists coming to Montana to enjoy our beautiful public lands, professors and students visiting the university, and further opportunities for international trade," said Rep. Zinke. "It is critical we invest in Montana's airport infrastructure as a means to bolster our local and state economies and strengthen our communities. I firmly believe building up our infrastructure is a fundamental role of government, and a critical investment, not expense, that will prepare Montana for the future. I congratulate MSO on the grants and applaud their proactive successes."

Missoula International: Construct Taxiway, Install Guidance Signs:

This grant will provide federal funding for the Missoula International Airport in Montana.
This project will fund the construction of a 700 foot Taxiway B1 to provide access to aircraft hangars.
This project will fund the installation of 7 new guidance sign fixtures and the rehabilitation of 4 existing guidance sign fixtures to accommodate the new Taxiway B1.
