Zinke Announces More than a Million Dollars in Grants for Montana Tribes

Today Montana Congressman Ryan Zinke announced the Department of Transportation awarded more than a million dollars in grants to address transportation safety issues and infrastructure opportunities on tribal lands.

"I believe building a strong infrastructure is a fundamental role of government, and infrastructure is an investment that will prepare Montana for the future," said Rep. Ryan Zinke. "Infrastructure supports such a huge part of our economy. If we're going to strengthen Montana's tribal communities, we need reliable roads and highways. These are same roads that carry coal and workers to and from the mines; connect tourists from across the country to our many public lands; and allow ag producers to ship their resources across the state."
