Today, Montana Congressman Ryan Zinke announced he will host several ceremonies across the state to honor Vietnam veterans with 50th anniversary commemorative lapel pins. All United States armed forces veterans who served on active duty during the Vietnam War years are eligible to receive the pin. The pin was authorized in the 2008 National Defense Authorization Act.
"This pin is a lasting memento of the thanks we have as a nation and a reminder of the service and sacrifice made by tens of thousands of Montanans and their families," said Rep. Zinke. "I encourage all of Montana's Vietnam War veterans to come receive their pin and the recognition they deserve."
Veterans can register to receive their pin at a local event by visiting Zinke.house.gov/Vietnam or calling Zinke's office (202) 225-3211 between 7:00AM and 4:00PM. Zinke's office is now taking registration for the following dates.
