Ryan Zinke Votes to take on Obama in the Supreme Court

Statement

Today, the House of Representatives voted to hold President Barack Obama accountable for his executive order (ruled illegal by the Fifth Circuit) which requires Department of Homeland Security officials to ignore immigration laws and give amnesty to millions of illegal aliens. Montana Congressman Ryan Zinke approved the motion to bring the issue to the Supreme Court. This is the first time in U.S. history the House will bring the President to the Supreme Court in defense of Article I powers.

"No man, regardless if he is the president, is above the law. The president has a history of writing laws or ignoring laws, despite the fact it is outside his constitutional duties. In fact, the federal courts have already ruled against the Obama Administration's Clean Power Plan, Waters of the U.S., and executive amnesty. I told the people of Montana I would hold the president accountable and defend the Constitution, and I meant it. As a Navy officer, State Senator, and Congressman, I took an oath to defend the U.S. Constitution from all enemies, both foreign and domestic. I spent 23 years defending it from foreign enemies, and today I defended the Constitution from a domestic enemy."
