Foster Meets with Officials to Discuss Airport Security and Screening Wait Times

Today, Congressman Bill Foster (IL-11) met at Chicago O'Hare International Airport with Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL), Mayor Rahm Emanuel, TSA Administrator Peter Neffenger, and representatives from key airlines. The meeting was convened to discuss what actions are needed to address growing delays at airport security lines.

"I have been hearing from constituents who are concerned about this problem and would like to know what steps are being taken to address it," said Foster. "We need to ensure we are doing everything we can to make the process at our airports here in Chicago, and across the country as efficient as possible -- without sacrificing the safety and security of passengers and all who work at our airports."
