The Californian - State Controller Yee Backs Panetta

Candidate Jimmy Panetta has been endorsed by California State Controller Betty Yee in his run for Congress in District 20, according to a press release.

"Jimmy has dedicated his life's work to serving others as a prosecutor and serving in the Afghanistan War. He will bring his passion for service to the United States Congress, standing up for the diverse communities of the Central Coast. I am pleased to support Jimmy Panetta for the 20th Congressional District," said Yee.

Panetta joins four other candidates seeking the local seat in Congress. They are Republican Casey Lucius, Joe Williams of the Peace & Freedom Party, Jack Digby, no political party; and Barbara Honegger, no party designation.

The top two vote-getters among these candidates in the June 7 California primary election will face off in the Nov. 8 general election.
