Angie Craig Responds to Jason Lewis's Attacks

Statement

In response to news that GOP candidate and former conservative talk radio host Jason Lewis has produced negative campaign mail pieces against her, DFL-endorsed Candidate for Congress Angie Craig issued the following statement:

"I find it deplorable that Jason Lewis has already resorted to running a smear campaign against me; Jason is apparently eager to join the mudslinging that presidential candidate Donald Trump so clearly enjoys. This is just one more thing Lewis and Trump have in common.​

"Minnesota voters have made it clear they soundly reject this type of negative campaigning, and if Jason Lewis thinks that spreading misinformation about other candidates in the race is the way to win over voters ahead of the GOP convention this weekend, he will be sorely mistaken.

"I will not be distracted by these attacks and will continue to focus on winning the general election in November."

Angie Craig was unanimously endorsed by the Democratic-Farmer-Labor (DFL) party this past weekend at the CD2 DFL convention.
