Governor and Council Approve Funds for Statewide Substance Misuse Treatment and Behavioral Health Services

After a bipartisan vote by the Executive Council to approve contracts that support substance misuse and behavioral health services statewide, Governor Maggie Hassan issued the following statement:

"As we all know, the heroin and opioid crisis is the most pressing public health and public safety issue facing our state, requiring us to work together every single day on a comprehensive approach to combat this horrible epidemic and help save lives. Over the course of this year, the Executive Council has approved many important contracts to provide substance misuse and behavioral health services across the state, and today's bipartisan votes build on those efforts.

"The agreements approved today will allow Goodwin Community Health to provide substance misuse treatment and recovery support services statewide and Harbor Homes to make peer recovery support services available in at least five public health regions across the state. I applaud the Executive Council for its bipartisan votes and remain focused on continuing to provide additional resources to support these critical substance misuse and behavioral health services in every corner of our state."
