Governor Maggie Hassan has directed flags to half-staff in New Hampshire until noon on Monday, May 30, in observance of Memorial Day.
"Every year on Memorial Day, we come together to honor the heroes who courageously made the ultimate sacrifice to protect their fellow citizens and defend our freedom, exemplifying the very best of our state's proud tradition of service," Governor Hassan said. "Memorial Day is a time to express the profound gratitude, respect and admiration that we have every day for these heroic men and women and their families. I join all Granite Staters and Americans in honoring our fallen heroes, their families and loved ones, as well as all of our veterans and service members for their unyielding dedication to serving their fellow citizens, their state and the United States of America, the greatest country on Earth."
