Sen. Chuck Schumer's statement on Energy Bill, which passed the Senate today:

"Aside from boondoggles like ethanol, this energy bill doesn't begin to grapple with one of the great problems America will face in the next quarter century - dependence on foreign sources of energy. The lack of significant conservation measures, essential to energy independence is confounding."
