Today U.S. Senator Kelly Ayotte (R-NH) issued the following statement on final congressional approval of the North Korea Sanctions Enforcement Act of 2016.
"North Korea is working to improve its nuclear weapon arsenal while developing the means to deliver those weapons to the mainland United States. North Korea has also conducted cyberattacks against the United States and exported ballistic missiles and related materials to Iran. That is why I cosponsored and supported this important North Korea sanctions legislation. I call on the administration to sign this bill and then work with our allies to impose without delay the toughest and broadest possible sanctions against North Korea and those who aid their illicit activities. In addition to imposing tough sanctions against North Korea, the administration should move quickly to improve our homeland missile defense."Ayotte Statement on Final Passage of North Korea Sanctions
