The Coalition of Asian Pacific American Democrats of Maryland (CAPAD-MD) Endorses Jamie Raskin

Today the Coalition of Asian Pacific American Democrats of Maryland (CAPAD-MD) endorsed Jamie Raskin's campaign for Congress in Maryland's 8th District.

"The members of CAPAD-MD are proud to endorse Jamie Raskin for Congress because we know Jamie to be a long-time friend to the Asian-American community in Maryland and trust he will be an effective leader and our best advocate in Congress," said Matin Ma and Stan Tsai, Co-Chairs of CAPAD-MD. "After reviewing questionnaires and interviewing candidates, we are confident that Senator Raskin is the best choice for Congress due to his impressive track record of legislative success, his service to our community, and his steadfast devotion to helping the Asian-American community in Maryland thrive."

Established in 1998, CAPAD-MD is the first and only state-wide Asian Pacific American Democratic Organization whose charter is recognized by the State of Maryland's Democratic Party. CAPAD-MD's mission is to help promote, support, and advance the interests of the Democratic Party in Maryland by promoting, supporting, or conducting activities and programs to encourage and promote the education and participation of primarily Asian Pacific Americans in the affairs, activities, programs, and endeavors of the Democratic Party.

CAPAD-MD's leadership is composed of a representative group of top community leaders across the diverse Asian-Pacific American and other ethnic communities in the State of Maryland and Greater Washington DC area, who serve as critical liaisons to respective multiplier community and grassroots organizations.
