Following is a statement from State Senator Jim Banks, conservative Republican candidate for Indiana's 3rd Congressional District, regarding President Obama's final State of the Union address.
"Under President Obama's administration, our country has grown weaker. Serving in Afghanistan, I witnessed first-hand how our military strength has diminished, and, as a result, weakened national security. Tonight was President Obama's last chance to identify a clear strategy to defeat radical Islamic terrorism, and he failed to do so."
"America's best days need not be behind her. I believe new leadership in the White House, coupled with a Congress committed to rebuilding our military, America can re-emerge as a force for strength that promotes peace and stability. In Congress, I'm committed to strengthening our military and making America great again."
