McCaul Statement On The Fifth Anniversary Of U.S. Operation That Killed Osama Bin Laden

Chairman Michael McCaul (R-TX) issued the following statement on the fifth anniversary of the U.S. operation that killed Osama bin Laden:

Chairman McCaul: "Osama bin Laden's death dealt a major blow to Islamist extremists who aim to bring terror to our shores. We must remember our courageous men in uniform who carried out this special operation, as well as the countless intelligence and counterterrorism professionals. Killing bin Laden was an important accomplishment, but it has not put al-Qaeda and its affiliates on their heels or secured the homeland. The Islamist jihad waged against America and the West by ISIS is as much of a threat to our nation as Osama bin Laden was. We will not submit to the indiscriminate violence and intimidation of jihadists. Instead, we will continue to respond by delivering justice wherever they may hide."
