Press Release

Date: April 19, 2016
Location: Washington, DC

Today, Chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee Michael McCaul (R-TX) visited the National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC). As part of his continuing oversight efforts regarding national security matters, McCaul spoke with federal employees conducting critical analytical and targeting duties in defense of the United States.

Chairman McCaul: "America faces an almost unprecedented threat from foreign-based Islamist terror groups, especially ISIS. The ability of the National Counterterrorism Center to break down barriers to information sharing between federal, state, and local agencies is thus especially crucial. The men and women of NCTC represent the center of gravity of our intelligence efforts to combat threats such as ISIS. I applaud their steadfast dedication to their duties and their efforts to protect the homeland."
