Issue Position

Job creation is job number one. We need to foster an environment that will create good jobs and fresh opportunities for all Americans. By empowering the private sector, we will continue to create the jobs and careers that provide a higher standard of living for all of our citizens.

For too long, government has stood as an obstacle to business. We need to repeal regulations like the EPA's costly Clean Power Plan, WOTUS, and the moratorium on federal coal leases that hurt our businesses, jobs and the North Dakota economy. I have been working hard in the Senate to put policies in place that will build a positive business climate and spur job creation and growth across the United States, just as we did in North Dakota.

I want to encourage entrepreneurial investment and help our businesses develop the technologies of the future. We need to:
*Work to simplify the tax code
*Free the economy from unnecessary regulations
*Lower energy costs
