Southern California, as well as the rest of the nation, continues to be in dire need of improvements to our transportation systems. Our roads and highways seem to constantly play catch-up with demand, which results in what feels like continuous congestion. Congress must take bold steps and make important investments in our transportation systems to meet our challenges and reduce congestion.

We must also make investments in our water supply infrastructure as well as start applying some common sense to our regulatory decisions. California can make itself immune to droughts if we simply maximize conservation, water reclamation (recycling), and improve ocean water desalination technology. Additionally, we must reverse the federally-imposed pumping restrictions in the California Bay Delta which are having a devastating impact on California farmers and businesses.
