Van Hollen Statement on Request for Rehearing on Van Hollen v. FEC

Maryland Congressman Chris Van Hollen released the following statement on his request for a rehearing of Van Hollen v. FEC in the U.S. Court of Appeals, District of Columbia Circuit:

"Americans have a right to know who is bankrolling ads to influence their votes. The skyrocketing amount of dark money being spent in our elections is a grave threat to our democracy, and I am hopeful that a review of this decision by the full Circuit Court of Appeals for the DC Circuit will produce a decision in favor of increased donor disclosure."
