Today Maryland Congressman Chris Van Hollen released the following statement on the Administration's proposed 1.6% pay raise for federal workers in 2017:
"A 1.6% raise for our federal workers is not nearly enough to compensate for years of inadequate adjustments. Wages for civil servants lag far behind the private sector, and federal workers have made significant sacrifices in recent years.
