"I strongly denounce the terrorist attack in central Kabul today and the Taliban responsible for this vile expression of hate. This cowardly act of terrorism demonstrates that the Taliban have no regard for human lives, even those of women and children. It also underscores the international community's need to continue to train and strengthen Afghan's National Security Forces to thwart such attacks and build a future of stability and security in the region.
"My thoughts and prayers are with the victims of this horrible attack and their families."
