Naval Base Ventura County (NBVC) is critically important to our national security and to our community. As Ventura County's Congresswoman, I have worked in partnership with our local leaders and stakeholders to ensure that Naval Base Ventura County remains strong, attracts new commands, and has the resources it needs to remain an essential asset to our national defense. As a member of the Defense Communities Congressional Caucus, E-2D Hawkeye Caucus, and Congressional Range and Test Center Caucus, I have actively worked to support funding for the existing programs at the base, like the Point Mugu Naval sea test range, and to bring new Navy units to the base, including the Triton, the E-2D Hawkeye, the Unmanned Helicopter Reconnaissance Squadron ONE, and MQ-8 Fire Scout.
Protecting Naval Base Ventura County is a top priority for our community and for me, and I will continue to work with our community and my colleagues in Congress to strengthen and protect Naval Base Ventura County.
"Julia Brownley has been a tireless advocate and champion for Naval Base Ventura County." -Supervisor Kathy Long, Co-Chair, Regional Defense Partnerhip-21 (RDP-21)
