Issues: Judicial Branch

Congresswoman Dina Titus of Nevada's First Congressional District issued a statement on President Barack Obama's nomination of Merrick Garland for the U.S. Supreme Court.

"It's time for Senator McConnell and his Republican colleagues to stop taking orders from Donald Trump, put politics aside, and debate the merits of Judge Garland's impressive legal career," Rep. Titus said. "With important decisions on immigration, labor, and women's health care coming down the pike, the U.S. Supreme Court should not be hamstrung by vacancies driven by election season politics. Our nation deserves better than that."
