Lujan Statement on Shootings in San Bernardino

Statement

Date: Dec. 2, 2015
Location: Washington, DC

"My thoughts and prayers are with the people of San Bernardino following this senseless violence that has injured and taken the lives of so many innocent people. While we await more details about what happened, it is clear that these heinous acts are becoming all too common in our country. We cannot stand idly by and watch one mass shooting after another. It's long past time to take commonsense steps that close loopholes on background checks and address the role that mental illness plays in these tragic events."
