Fleming Votes to Override President's Veto

Congressman John Fleming, M.D. released the following statement after voting to override the President's veto of H.R. 3762, the Restoring American's Healthcare Freedom Reconciliation Act. The bill will eliminate federal funding for Planned Parenthood, repeal the individual and employer mandates, repeal the medical device and "Cadillac" tax, and reduce the deficit by over $500 billion.

"We presented the President with the critical first step in addressing American's overburdened healthcare system, and yet he chose to reject it. Today's vote signifies that that we are not here to play politics though; we are here to work for the American people. It's time to repeal and replace Obamacare with market based reforms that will give all American access to quality, affordable health care."
