Congressman Kevin Cramer released the following statement following Pope Francis' Address to a Joint Session of Congress this morning.

"Pope Francis' message focusing on liberty, equality, justice, dialogue as well as the reaffirmation of the family should be uniting issues for all Americans. I am grateful to the Pontiff for his Pastoral encouragement. We are better having listened to his message of hope and humility. I join Pope Francis in asking God to Bless America."

Joining Cramer in the House chamber to hear Pope Francis was Monsignor James Patrick Shea, President of the University of Mary.
